Not only are we waiving all joining fees until August, but we are challenging our members to place themselves by setting heath and fitness goals this summer. We could not be more proud of our Y members and everything that you accomplish throughout the year. This summer, we have decided to celebrate as YOU set and achieve your health and wellness goals!
This begs the question: have you signed up for our newest challenge? PLACE YOURSELF celebrates the Olympic spirit, but you only compete against yourself with the goals you set. As you achieve and surpass established goals, staff members will give out stars to place on our Weekly Tracker bulletin board (located just outside of the Wellness Office). We will celebrate your many victories at our Medal Ceremony on August 31st.
Keep in mind that you may either set 3 separate goals or break down your overall goal into: Bronze (easy), Silver (medium), and Gold (challenging) levels. If you haven’t already, begin to think about some goals you want to accomplish in the next couple of months. We have already had several members set many exciting and admirable goals. Here are a few examples of goals that have been set so far:
- Increase water intake by 24oz each day
- Come to the Y 3 times per week
- Complete 30 minutes of cardio per week
- Limit fried food intake to one day a week
- Run 8 miles a week
